Deloitte's DEI initiatives include offering Zoom backgrounds celebrating diversity for different heritage, history, and pride months. I designed backgrounds for Disability Pride Month and Women's History Month. I utilized stock artwork and edited it to fit the brief and feedback from Deloitte’s team.
Disability Pride Month
For Disability Pride Month, Deloitte wanted to showcase diversity within the disability community and create backgrounds that looked as if they were part of a real environment. I created a mix of interior and exterior options and used hand-lettering for one option to simulate a mural. The interior option with the ASL signs spells “Deloitte”.
Women's History Month
For Women's History Month, Deloitte wanted something abstract that didn't lean into cliché depictions of womanhood. They provided a range of bright colors used by their National Women & Allies group. After feedback, they decided they wanted to go for more neutral options that had a pop of color. I used colors from the original palette for the bright pop and found neutrals that worked with them. One of the backgrounds was also used in-person for a Women's History Month panel they hosted.
